Agave Americana
Fun Fact: This type of agave is also known as the century plant. This is because people thought they only flowered once every hundred years.
Handsome evergreen perennials are a great plant to use as a focal point or accent. Agave Americana has long spikes down it’s gorgeous arched blue/green leaves. They do well in large pots, gravel, or well drained soil. These gorgeous brutes love the sun and are drought tolerant. A mature (around 10 years) plant will grow a gorgeous stock that flowers a greenish/yellowish flower. The Agave Americana can grow 3-6 ft tall, 6-10ft wide, and the stalk can grow up to 15ft tall. This succulent is attractive to hummingbirds and birds but, are moderately deer resistant.

Upon arrival, please take plants/cuttings out of the box immediately and plant in soil or place in water. It is normal for both these items to look limp and dry. The whole process causes a lot of stress on plants so it is very important upon arrival to start the acclimation process immediately.
